Matsuuuura, Matsuuuura desu. A really cool park!

It was kind of chilly and there was a chance of rain when we visited this park in the Nagasaki Prefecture, but it was a weekend and the park was empty! According pictures on the map in the park, it will be beautiful come spring when all of the flowers covering the hillside are in bloom.
In the summer, I imagine this is the place to be! That yellow thing is a water gun that you can use to shoot the targets ahead. It wasn't working the day we were there.
A climbing wall.
It's kind of hard to see from this angle, but there is a rollerslide and an obstacle/climbing course.

The water play area.

How to cross the road without getting mangled.

I pulled over to take a picture of one of these crossing guards and my dog went crazy barking and trying to keep the crossing guard to stay away from our car.
Be careful when you cross the road here in Japan or this could happen to you!

Mt. Kurokami

Mt. Kurokami in the Saga Prefecture is beautiful! There is some very nice hiking here as well.

There are signs pointing the way and it will take you through farm land.

Yamauchi Central Park

Yamauchi Central Park is a really like little park. It would be a nice place to bring a picnic lunch and let the kids run around... if this rain would ever stop! That rollerslide was far too wet to slide down the day we were there, but I know it's there now, so we'll come back.

A well used grass slide. It's small and in bad shape.

Mikawachi Central Sports Park

This is a very nice park, though the playground wasn't in the best shape. I'm not sure if it's financial or just the time of year, but this park has seen better days. That drop slide is a mini version of the ones all over Japan. Maybe an introduction into drop slides.

The playground is just a small part of park. There are also areas catering to other sports.

Dam 'n' Park

Yet another park with a view here in Kyushu. This time it's Zinrokusan Park (神六山公園). The view is beautiful, but they all start looking the same after a while. The hike to get there was gorgeous!
The view.
There was more to this park than what you see here. I could see a gazebo with a picnic table about 500 meters away, but it was raining and too soon after the marathon, excuses, excuses. I'll be back and figure it out another day.
Nonokawa Dam Park. There aren't any playgrounds, but I did see some trials and picnic tables. Once the rain stops, I'll head back there.

Both of these parks are in Hasami Town.

Konosu Park

This park is also in Hasami town. I only took photos of the playground, but the park is very large.
