We, along with 32,000 of our closest friends, competed in the
2010 Tokyo Marathon today. The weather through much of the race was abysmal! It was pouring when we looked out the window from our warm and dry hotel room this morning. The race didn't start right at 0900, and those extra minutes waiting were horrible. I couldn't take pictures at the beginning this year safely because of the moisture, so all of the photos here are after the 28 km mark.

Miso soup anyone? Surprisingly, to this westerner, this treat was a hit amongst runners.
