Agarihama Kyo Ryu Koen

Ahhhh! A T-Rex getting ready for lunch!
This park is about a kilometer from the Shisa Park. They both are on an area of land that I think is reclaimed land. The whole area is new.

The stats on the dinosaur. You can climb up in the dinosaur, but you can't go into the mouth.

Agarihama Shisa Koen

It's not much of a park, but it's a blast for very small children.
I love these basket swings! There is also a small playground for really little kids, but I forgot to take a picture of it.

Uehara Taka Dai Koen

There is no where to take a good picture of this park. Uehara Taka Dai Koen is one awesome park! That blue rollerslide starts at the top of the hill, by a large water tower with cartoon characters painted all over it.

This park is near the University of the Ryukyus in Okinawa. Just look for that water tower I mentioned above. It's in an area called Uehara.
The rollerslide is quite slow, but that cement slide and that red slide you see there are lightning fast!
That play area in the foreground is geared more towards little tykes. Off to the right are some animals on springs that little kids can bounce around on.

That slide is so fast I went flying off it when I got to the end.

In between all of the slides is an elaborate maze of climbing apparatus and rope bridges. You won't be bored at this park!

Tobaru Koen

Oh how I love this park! Tobaru Koen in Okinawa is a wonderful park not far from Kadena AFB gate #5 and not far from Camp Lester. I used to teach an exercise class at this park. The hilly trails and those wicked stairs you see leading up to that tower made for an awesome workout! That awesome rollerslide was a bonus! It's kind of hard to see from the picture, but there are climbing nets at the bottom that keep the kids busy for hours. HOURS!!!
Don't forget your cardboard! This slide is fast at the bottom!

Can you see the rainbow? I took this picture from the top of the tower above the rollerslide.

Koza Athletic Park

We are back from Okinawa, but I never had the time while we were there to post pictures of some of their great parks. I really, really miss the parks in Okinawa!

This park is right outside of the Kadena AFB perimeter fence. It's close to the Expressway Entrance.

Koza Athletic Park has paved walking trails, tennis courts, a pool and a fabulous play area! That cement slide there is a ton of fun, as are the two playgrounds and all of the climbing nets and climbing walls.
