Seicho no Ie

We went to the Seichi no Ie shrine to see what were supposed to be grandiose displays of Sakura. Turns out we were a day late and a dollar short. The landscaped grounds were very beautiful, but most of the Cherry Blossoms had already fallen. I don't know much about the types of trees, but the trees around the koi pond appeared to be the Weeping Cherry Blossom trees. Maybe they lose their flowers sooner, because the trees all over the outer grounds were still in bloom.
A Shisa guarding the first of the two red bridges.

We found a couple of blooming flowers.
You'll have a hard time missing this shrine as it has one of the largest Torii gates I have ever seen! Its off 206 near Bio Park.
