Hiroyama Koen

In my opinion, one of the treasures of Zushi is Hiroyama Koen.  It's a beautiful park offering panoramic views of the ocean and monkeys!
The park is free and there is plenty of parking.  The monkeys are in that cage below.

That's Zushi beach down there.  Can you see all the wind surfers?


This is one of the three trailheads at Hiroyama.  This particular trail is a quarter of a mile from the Hiroyama Koen parking lot down to the beach.  It's too slippery to do when it is raining or has just rained.

The trail below also leaves from the parking lot.  It's a well-used trail.

This is the view from the observation tower at the park.  Today it wasn't clear, but you can see Mt. Fuji from here.  That's Enoshima Island out there.

There are other animals in addition to the monkeys.  Most of those cages are filled with chickens, peacocks and other birds, but they also have Guinea Pigs and rabbits.
